The CGI provides comprehensive genomics services to support cutting-edge research across basic, translational, and clinical sciences. Equipped with state-of-the-art sequencing platforms and advanced bioinformatics expertise, the core offers end-to-end solutions—from experimental design and sample preparation to high-throughput sequencing, combined with data analysis through our sister core facility, the CBC. By combining technical excellence with collaborative support, the facility enables researchers to generate high-quality, reproducible genomic data and accelerate scientific discovery.
The CGI offers access to the latest generation of high-performance sequencing platforms from Illumina, PacBio and Oxford Nanopore Technologies, providing researchers with a comprehensive portfolio of state-of-the-art sequencing solutions. These platforms support projects of any scale, budget, or turnaround time. Our team of highly trained NGS scientists brings extensive hands-on experience operating advanced sequencing instrumentation while meeting the high-throughput demands of a diverse research community.
The CGI maintains a broad array of sequencing platforms with varying read lengths and output capacities, fully integrated with an extensive suite of library preparation and QC services to support a wide range of experimental designs and applications. Our NGS scientists provide expert consultation to help researchers select the most appropriate NGS platform and strategy for their scientific objectives. We also support scientists testing new protocols and emerging applications and technologies.
Successful sequencing outcomes depend not only on the quality of submitted DNA or RNA, but also on library construction and appropriate kit selection. Our NGS team consistently generates highly uniform library fragment sizes, enabling optimal cluster generation and maximal data yield per flow cell. Alternatively, investigators may submit their own libraries for comprehensive quality control and take advantage of our sequencing-only services.
