Pacific Biosciences (PacBio)
PacBio Revio
Offering more data than the PacBio Sequel Iie, our PacBio Revio is a long-read sequencing platform utilizing SMRT technology to generate highly accurate HiFi reads (90% Q30+, up to 20 kb). Applications include de novo genome assembly, amplicon sequencing, metagenomes, viral and microbial genomes, structural variant detection, epigenomics and full-length RNA sequencing. On this instrument, 4 SMRT Cells are on a single tray and can be run simultaneously with SPRQ chemistry.
Each SMRT Cell 125M contains ~25 million zero-mode waveguides (ZMWs), yielding up to 120 Gb of data per flow cell.
NEW CHEMISTRY RELEASE (MAY 2026)
SPRQ-Nx chemistry (featuring multi-use SMRT Cells), which launched globally in May 2026, reduces per-SMRT cell costs while introducing multi-use SMRT Cell reuse and advanced AI consensus algorithms
- Lower costs: Allows individual SMRT Cells to be washed and automatically reused for multiple sample sets on the Revio deck without manual user intervention, reducing the per SMRT cell run cost by 30-40%.
- AI Enhancements: Integrates upgraded DeepConsensus algorithms optimized with Google’s AlphaEvolve coding agent for faster processing and higher accuracy.
Expanded Epigenetics: Natively supports improved on-instrument calling for 5mC and 6mA, alongside a brand-new 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) detector in every run.
PacBio Sequel IIe
Our PacBio Sequel IIe is no longer used as it has been superseded by the PacBio Revio. If your application requires the Sequel IIe, please contact us.
